I'm not in love with this thread (Oren Bayan, size 70). I am a tight tatter, and there were times that I though for sure the ring was not going to close.

This week is like a mini tatting class/seminar for me; I'm doing all kinds of new things. These earrings are my variation of the ones on Sharon's blog.

I love Spring Break!

Today I got the checkbook balanced, the laundry caught up, lunch and dinner made for the family, and these tattings done. Who knew I was wasting so much productive time at work? :)

Dragon

This is my attempt at Martha Ess's Paprika the Dragon. Not my usual style, but it was fun.

Earrings #2

My daughter saw these in Rebecca Jones' Complete Book of Tatting and requested them. I remember requesting quilts, pillows, and knit items from my mother when I was around my daughter's age (18). It's nice to have traditions :)

It's too big for earrings. . .

. . . but it makes a nice little doo dad. It's a pattern from Bridgit's Tatting.

It's Spring Break and I think I've found my project for the week. Here is my first venture into tatted earrings. My daughter has visions of selling these on Etsy or at a local craft fair.
