Another Handkerchief

I finally finished my current hanky. Why is it that the last side always takes soooooo long? I told my daughter that I felt like a hamster in a wheel going and going and going, and going nowhere! Of course it is also great when the shuttle runs out of thread with 1.5 inches to go. Sigh. I'm sounding a little bit grumbly today - that probably has something to do with the fact that it's back to work full-swing tomorrow morning. :(

This is one of the hankies from Handy Hands, and the thread is Olympus size 40.

Very sweet! The pale pastels make it look even more delicate!

Very pretty! I have some hanky blanks that I want to put tatted edgings on. Is this your own pattern?

Hi Diane, This is just hen & chicks edging, and I fudged the corner with a little ring of 2-2-2 and the joins that you can see from the picture. If you need more details, you can email me at hobbit68@aol.com

Hi Joy!
What a pretty edging!
I know nothing about tatting, crotching, knitting or anything that uses string, yarn, thread, wool or whatever it is used for those projects so this question that may sound stupid. Is the thread that you used on the hanky multicoloured or did you use a bunch of different colours?
Thanks for sharing & have a great weekend.

Hi Lois, it's nice to see you! The thread is multi-colored, so it does most of the work for me. My mom made miles of edging for pillow cases when I was growing up, and she almost always used the multi-colored threads.
