More Finishing and #23

What a productive day I've had! I completed the insertion design and sewed the tatting onto my hand towel for the Farm Show. The variegated thread here is Olympus size 40. I absolutely love the silkiness of this thread as the stitches are forming. It reminds me of cross-stitching with Caron Waterlilies silks.

You've really come up with some beautiful applications for your tatted pieces. I haven't tried Olympus thread yet... another challenge for me!

Very Pretty Joy! Best of luck in the Farm show. Hope you win first prize on all your entries.

I haven't tried the Olympus 40 thread, I heard that this thread tats up like a size 20, what do you think?

Have a great weekend!

Thanks everyone for looking and always having such encouraging feedback. Yes, Carol, the Olympus 40 does seem to tat up thick. I think it is very easy to work with, but everyone has individual preferences, of course.

I think it is so neat how you can take something like a plain towel or pillow case or whatever and completly change it by adding your personnal touch.
The towel is very pretty with your tatting on it.
It(tatting) is very delicate looking.
Good luck with your entry.

Hi Joy, Thanks for letting me know about the Olympus 40 thread. I will have to try it out, if it is more like a size 20. I don't have much in size 40 thread, I do a lot of tatting in size 20 though.
