One-handed Project

Here's the scarf I just finished. I used the pocket knitter that I got for Christmas and then did a single-crochet edge to help it lie flat (turns out I can crochet left-handed: who knew?). It's made with lion brand chenille thick and quick yarn.

I have found chenille yarn to be tricky to knit with, so I'm impressed that the pocket knitter worked so well. It's interesting to see the gadgets and gizmos they've come up with to promote knitting/crocheting.

I'm glad you can get a feeling of creating something while you heal. When my wrists were in casts, they were in the perfect position to knit, but I could barely hold the needles and couldn't maneuver the thread at all!
All the muscles were so sore! When I finally could knit (and tat) again, I marveled at how we take for granted the ease with which we can move our hands.
