I'm working on "Pretty Petal Doily" from A Tatter's Treasure Chest for entry in the Farm Show in August. Finishing the center was step 1. Completing the 8 individual petals was step 2. The pattern calls for one more round of rings and chains on each petal to attach them all together - that will be step 3.
The thread is size 20 Lizbeth, colors 620 and 131.

Very beautiful so far!!! :)
I love the way you laid out the 'motifs' here - almost thought you were doing a clock like Carla's, at her blog "Chiacchierino della nonna'(except you'd need 12 motifs!
It will be interesting to see how the sections are joined. Is this the book edited by Carol Waldrop, "The Tatter's Treasure Chest?", or another one with a similar name.
Very pretty! Like Kathy, I thought you might be making a clock. I look forward to seeing it all put together.
Lovely! This is just great!
Because I look at this pattern often and study it, wondering if I would ever have the patience to complete it, I applaud your tatting-where-others-fear-to -tat!
This is going to be a gorgeous piece. I am looking forward to seeing it completed.
