Ornament

This is a cool pattern from free-tatting.com.  I will definitely do this one again with different colors.

Step 2 Done

I'm working on "Pretty Petal Doily" from A Tatter's Treasure Chest for entry in the Farm Show in August.  Finishing the center was step 1.  Completing the 8 individual petals was step 2. The pattern calls for one more round of rings and chains on each petal to attach them all together - that will be step 3.

The thread is size 20 Lizbeth, colors 620 and 131.

Mother's Day

Happy Mom's Day, friends!  As a tribute to my mom, I'm posting a picture of some of her tatting.  She made miles and miles of hen & chicks edging for pillow cases over the years.  These butterflies (tatted by my mom) are from a pattern that came from my paternal grandmother's sample book.

It's about time!

I've been so busy with work and exploring other tatting ventures that I slowed down on the hankies. Tonight I finally finished one.

One More Finish for Today

Here's another design from Marilee Rockley's Tatted Jewelry; this time it's a pendant. These patterns are very clear and so much fun to work.

Hoppy Easter!

I received this picture as an e-mail this morning and thought it would make a great little ornament, so I printed it out on card stock and added the tatting. Egg coloring tonight, and we're ready for the bunny to come!

Bookmark

I know it's the wrong season and I will be working on some Spring-themed projects today, but I just had to try out my new thread (thanks, Annette!), and I needed a new bookmark. I love to re-purpose my holiday cards.
